Barging

Vessels that traversed the canals in Europe once carried men and supplies to towns during medieval times. Canals now bring visitors into the heart of the villages located on their banks, providing a very unique experience. The barges have been converted into very luxurious vessels, carrying as few as 4 and no more than 12 individuals on a journey to experience foreign cultures. A crew, including a chef, is provided. The chef may call upon you ahead of the cruise to select menus for the duration of the cruise, thus making the experience more personal. Bicycles are included on each barge to provide even greater depth into the experience. Since barges normally travel no more than 10 miles during the length of a cruise, a bicycle tour of a particular village is very doable in the course of a one-day adventure during the cruise.
